10 FAQs of StarryHub

Introduction
As modern workplaces evolve, the demand for seamless, efficient, and intelligent meeting solutions continues to grow. CZUR StarryHub is an all-in-one smart conferencing system that integrates projection, audio, video, and collaboration tools. Unlike traditional projectors or conference setups that require multiple external devices, StarryHub provides an efficient and convenient solution for both local and remote meetings. This FAQ covers its key features, technical specifications, and applications, helping you understand how StarryHub enhances the meeting experience.
1. What are the Differences Between StarryHub and Traditional Projectors?
Key Distinction
The key distinction between StarryHub and traditional projectors lies in their integration and intelligent functionality. While traditional projectors serve primarily as display devices and depend on external equipment, such as computers, cameras, microphones, and speakers, for remote meetings, StarryHub is a fully integrated smart conferencing system. It combines projection, a camera, speakers, a microphone, and custom video conferencing software into a single, all-in-one solution, eliminating the need for additional devices.
Installation and Usability
StarryHub is the ideal solution for businesses that frequently hold remote video conferences. Unlike traditional projectors, which require ceiling mounting and complex wiring, StarryHub offers a hassle-free setup—just place it on the conference table and plug it in. Its integrated audio and video system delivers an all-in-one solution for video conferencing, greatly enhancing meeting room flexibility.

2. Does StarryHub Require a Projector Screen?
StarryHub does not require a dedicated projector screen and can project onto any flat white wall, providing a flexible and convenient experience. However, dark-colored walls absorb light, reducing brightness and image clarity, while textured wallpaper or rough surfaces can cause distortion and pixelation.
If a white wall is not available, a pull-up or motorized projector screen is recommended. In environments with strong ambient light (e.g., large windows without curtains), an ambient light-rejecting (ALR) screen designed for StarryHub can help enhance brightness and maintain optimal display quality.

3. What is the Optimal Projection Distance for StarryHub?
The ideal projection distance for StarryHub is approximately 1.5 meters, allowing it to project an 80-inch high-definition image with clear visuals and optimal brightness.
-
1.45 meters for an 80-inch projection ( room size 4-6)
-
1.8 meters for a 100-inch projection (room size 6-15)
-
1-2 meters for 60-150-inch projections (room size 4-30)
For rooms with over 30 participants, it is recommended to use a larger screen or a multi-screen setup to ensure clear visibility for all.
Throw Ratio Advantage:
StarryHub’s 0.8:1 short-throw ratio enables large-screen projection at a short distance, eliminating the need for complex ceiling installation or wiring.
Tip:
Place StarryHub at the front of the conference table to keep the table clutter-free and ensure the camera is in the optimal position.

5. How do Auto Framing and Speaker Tracking work on StarryHub?
The StarryHub Q1S Pro’s Auto Framing and Speaker Tracking features intelligently adjust the camera view based on speaker activity. When Speaker A talks and Speaker B starts speaking for 1.5-2 seconds, the camera will frame both. After 5 seconds, it focuses solely on Speaker B. Other participants' speech under 3 words is not tracked.
If a speaker moves for more than 3 seconds, the system enters motion mode and switches to a smart panoramic view. After 3 seconds of stillness, it returns to speaker tracking. If no one speaks for 5 seconds, it switches back to the panoramic view, ensuring smooth transitions without unnecessary frameshifts.
6. How to Address Audio Pickup Range in Larger Meeting Rooms?
StarryHub features a built-in 6-array microphone and a 10W professional speaker. The CZUR PureVoice™ technology effectively eliminates over 300 types of noise, making it ideal for small to medium-sized meeting rooms (8-30 people). The projection size can be adjusted to over 120 inches, meeting the needs of larger rooms for big-screen displays. If the audio pickup range is insufficient, we recommend using audio-video equipment that is specifically designed for larger meeting rooms.
7. What are the Different Ways StarryHub can Start a Video Conference?
StarryHub can join a video conference in three ways:
