5. Traditional Remote Control vs. TouchBoard

  • Ease of Use

Traditional Remote Control: Requires button-by-button operation with a single input method, and lacks finger control, making it cumbersome and inefficient.TouchBoard: Integrates three modes—touch control, fingers, and text input, allowing users to navigate StarryHub quickly through fingers like swiping and tapping, reducing repetitive button operations and improving meeting efficiency.

  • Interactivity

Traditional Remote Control: Supports only one-way control, where users can only press buttons, lacking fingers or text input, making multitasking difficult.TouchBoard: Supports finger interactions, such as three-finger swiping to switch applications or two-finger tapping to access additional options, providing a more intuitive and user-friendly experience tailored for smart conference rooms.

  • Versatility

Traditional Remote Control: Limited to basic commands (e.g., adjusting volume, switching slides), with poor compatibility, usually working only with specific devices, making it unsuitable for complex meeting needs.TouchBoard: Supports text input, finger control, and advanced operations, greatly enhancing flexibility in conference system control.

  • Design & User Experience

Traditional Remote Control: Outdated design with basic buttons, lacking a modern aesthetic, making it less suitable for high-end business meeting rooms. TouchBoard sleek and stylish design that enhances the technological sophistication of conference spaces.

  • Sustainability

Traditional Remote Control: Relies on replaceable batteries, requiring frequent changes; long periods of inactivity can cause battery failure or unexpected power loss, making it less eco-friendly.
TouchBoard: Wireless charging design, allowing it to be conveniently placed in the StarryHub charging area for continuous use. No need for battery replacements, making it more sustainable and ensuring it is always ready for use.
