What is CZUR StarryHub? how it works?

StarryHub is a cubic projector with built-in meeting room camera, speaker, microphone system and a wireless keyboard. It is a portable all-in-one solution, with a focus on wireless connections.

Chinese CZUR started making overhead projectors; You know, the ones use in teaching to show/scan pages from paper books on a screen. So they have had the opportunity to think different with meeting room solutions, as they do not have made projectors before.

A wireless dongle with StarryHub is included. The connected to a computer so that StarryHub is seen as a monitor, webcam and sound system from the computer.

Combined unit

We had the opportunity to test CZUR's meeting space solution, called StarryHub. And it works equally different. It's an interesting combination that solves the specific problem that you want to keep a meeting (or a presentation) in a meeting room, where there is no AV equipment. And it happens too quiet often in the real world. You often end up with a laptop at the end of the day, the table - and that's not smart. Alternatively, have you brought a small projector, which must then be connected same with the laptop and a meeting room height speech which you have hopefully remembered - either not smart.

Projector with camera and sound

StarryHub is a 2200/2400 lumen projector which has a built-in Android meeting room computer with clients for Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.

In addition, a camera, a microphone and speaker system are built in. The camera is located on the back of the device it is meant to be placed at the end of an oblong conference table with the projector side facing away against a white wall or screen. They built in microphones and speakers provide audio for the meeting room participants. To accommodate everything it has CZUR built the unit as a cube that is approx. ¾ of an A4 sheet on all sides. With that, the camera comes up a little, and there is room for sensible speakers in the unit. An extra bonus of this design is that the device gets space for a larger diameter fan. Bigger fans mean they can rotate slowly more to provide the necessary cooling. It does again, that the device is pretty quiet.

Complete solution where you don't need to use a laptop

CZUR has also thought about having to use a laptop. Then the built-in computer has a multitude of functions, including the meeting client for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. And CZUR has cleverly included a remote service, which is a small keyboard that can be changed for a touchpad. Why is there no one else who got that idea? That's so smart! Thus, can you e.g. start Teams and enter the meeting ID – and you are on. And that without having to use one's berries just computer. However, we hope that CZUR provides option to include Danish characters in a comma Mende update. A smart detail is that the keyboard remote control is held magnetically, so it just sticks on the top of StarryHub and also recharges automatically when it is on the device.

StarryHub is designed wirelessly

The unit has built-in WiFi and there is also clients for Chromcast, Apple AirPlay and more other systems that can send wireless video to a screen. There is also an RJ45 connection wired network and an HDMI port for video. To that comes a pair of USB A ports. But StarryHub is clearly designed for use without cables. To connect a computer in the traditional way you must use the supplied USB dongle

for wireless connection to a computer. When this dongle is paired with a specific StarryHub, to you connect the dongle to the computer that is to be present and can then select StarryHub as a device in the meeting room software. Wireless – no cables. If you forget this dongle there at home, you can use CZUR's app instead.

In use

The projector part is as automatic as it gets slightly There is autofocus and auto keystone. Both parts are in good working order. The optics are good and sharp. Colors, brightness and contrast are fine. It is used an LED light source, so the projector is fast with one picture. The built-in computer is also nice fast.

And StarryHub is a pleasure to use

with the small keyboard remote control. There is super good thought out by CZUR. We have tested with Teams and Google Meet. The camera and sound worked here the part fine. The camera has an image angle of 120 degrees. The provides a useful image at small conference tables. There is an option for intelligent digital zoom on a meeting participant, so the device corrects the image against the one who speaks. There is also intelligence in the microphone system. This system has six microphones, where the built-in computer intelligently adapts the sound to a speaking meeting participant for maximum speech understanding. The speaker part is 10 W – and good-sounding. There is interesting enough bass, midrange and di edge control in the unit. It's something you see all too rare in meeting room systems.

Conclusion

StarryHub is well thought out and a sensible idea such a solution to the need for a mobile meeting room solution. The other projector manufacturers could learn a thing or two here. Special keyboard the remote control is a stroke of genius. And that's supractically being able to transform any room with a white wall for a full meeting room.

The back of the unit contains the plug connections and cam the radel. There are USB connections, but these cannot be used given to connect to a laptop, so you have to use it wireless connection device for this purpose.
